Information You Submit
Search-box entries
When a visitor enters a search term in a sponsored search box, that information is sent to the outside company operating the tool. The provider processes the request under its own policy. This site does not store or log the search terms entered there.
Messages sent to the site
If a visitor emails the site, the message and reply details are retained so the exchange can be handled. The information is not shared outside the organization unless a valid legal duty requires it.
Technical Details Collected During a Visit
When a page loads, web servers and analytics tools may receive technical data about the visit, including:
- Internet Protocol address
- Browser type and version
- Device and operating-system details
- Pages viewed and time spent
- Referring website, if present
- Page-view timestamps
Cookies and site analytics
Cookies are small files stored in a browser. The site uses them and analytics services to review traffic patterns, such as which pages are viewed and where visitors leave. Browser settings can block cookies, though a blocked cookie may change how a site feature behaves.
How We Use Visitor Information
- Keeping pages available and improving load performance
- Sending a search-box request to the provider that operates it
- Understanding which site sections receive visits
- Finding and correcting technical problems
- Displaying advertising that may reflect browsing activity
No Warrant Database Is Stored Here
Wichita County Warrant Records does not host, compile, or sell a database of warrant subjects or official case files. The site provides general information about where records may be requested, such as a court clerk, JP, city court, or Sheriff’s Office. Visitor information is not collected into consumer reports or a profile about another person. This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Outside Search Companies
Search boxes are run by third parties. Inputs entered into those tools are handled under the provider’s own privacy policy, data-retention terms, and sharing practices. The site does not control those rules. Review the provider’s policy before submitting personal information or paying for a search.
Links to Government and Other Websites
Pages may link to sheriff, court, police, DPS, and other public resources, as well as outside search tools. Clicking an external link moves a visitor to a different service with its own privacy notice. Read that notice before entering personal data.
Advertising partners may also use their own systems to measure activity across websites. Their tracking does not operate under this policy.
Who May Receive Site Data
We do not sell personal data. Information may be handled by service providers that support the website, including:
- Search companies that process an entered query
- Analytics vendors that measure page traffic
- Advertising networks that display ads
- Government or law-enforcement bodies when a valid legal order requires disclosure
Steps Used to Protect Information
The site uses standard security practices to protect information it handles. Internet systems cannot be guaranteed free of every risk. We take reasonable care but cannot promise that a security incident will never occur.
Visitors Under Age 18
This website is intended for adults and is not designed to collect personal information from children. If a parent or guardian believes a minor has sent information to the site, they may use the site’s contact channel to ask about removal.
Texas Public Records and Visitor Data Questions
The Texas Public Information Act, Government Code Chapter 552, governs access to many records held by Texas governmental bodies. It does not create a visitor-data right against this privately operated site. Court records and law-enforcement records also have specific access limits. For a government record, contact the office that maintains it; for a question about information sent to a search partner, consult that provider’s privacy terms.
Wichita County’s open-records form routes court files to the District Clerk, County Clerk, or JP rather than to the DA’s PIA form.
Changes to This Privacy Notice
The privacy notice may be revised as site practices change. A revised version will be posted here with a new effective date. Review this page when deciding whether to submit information through a linked service.
